Karaoke Singer Coldcocked

As inveterate pacifists, we can think of precious few situations in which violence is a proper cause of action. That said, we have to tip our hat to a brave, unidentified woman who reacted with proper vigor when confronted with two such situations at once -- those being exposure to the music of Coldplay and having to endure third-rate karaoke singing.

The gal -- described only as "a little hippie girl" -- went ballistic when a patron at a Seattle saloon broke into his version of 'Yellow,' screaming "Oh, no, not that song ... I can't stand that song!" Having had much the same reaction ourselves every time we've heard the version put forth by the Chris Martin posse, we're not surprised to hear that she followed up her interjection by leaping onto the bar's stage to pummel the hapless singer until cops were called to break up the melee.

Thankfully, no serious injuries resulted from the fracas, but we can't help but hope that some good can come of it -- like the recording of a public service announcement warning "Friends don't let friends karaoke to Coldplay."

Would this have been so damn funny if it had been a man beating the crap out of some woman? Yet another double standard I've had it with!

To H and the "grammatical error"
"those being exposure to Coldplay's music and having to endure third-rate karaoke singing."
That statement is not incorrect. It is explaining what the 2 situations were, as in those 2 situations being #1. exposure to Coldplay's music and #2. having to endure third-rate karaoke singing.
It is hard to get at first until you look back at the beginning of the sentence. I hate it when written word is so hard to decipher.
Thanks,
J

Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it sucks. The offended woman cleary must not have any taste for true talent. She was probably upset they weren't doing country western! Coldplay rocks!

Number 7 up top said that this loose canon also jumped a police officer, she fu**ed up.You can be sure this stupid idiot will end up doing some time behind bars, exactly where she needs to be.Sounds like she can't handle her alchol and should not be drinking, hopefully the owner and the bartender will not serve this child next time she enters the bar.

why can't people just have fun at a club? Freedom of song not an option? Since when is it ok for this behaviour? Humans get worse and worse on a daily basis...

HELLO...."H" is right about the grammar...It shouldn't be "Those being exposure to Coldplay's music....it should be "Those being EXPOSED to Coldplay's music."
