Karaoke Singer Coldcocked

As inveterate pacifists, we can think of precious few situations in which violence is a proper cause of action. That said, we have to tip our hat to a brave, unidentified woman who reacted with proper vigor when confronted with two such situations at once -- those being exposure to the music of Coldplay and having to endure third-rate karaoke singing. The gal -- described only as "a little hippie girl" -- went ballistic when a patron at a Seattle saloon broke into his version of 'Yellow,' screaming "Oh, no, not that song ... I can't stand that song!" Having had much the same reaction ourselves every time we've heard the version put forth by the Chris Martin posse, we're not surprised to hear that she followed up her interjection by leaping onto the bar's stage to pummel the hapless singer until cops were called to break up the melee.
Thankfully, no serious injuries resulted from the fracas, but we can't help but hope that some good can come of it -- like the recording of a public service announcement warning "Friends don't let friends karaoke to Coldplay."

Who do you pay, and how much, to be able to post your ignorant thoughts and have the world see them? Just curious.

I've heard a lot worse things at karaoke nights: is Bon Jovi supposed to sound like Dylan?...or Willie? EVER???
Robat 8-14-2007
I heard of hating a song, but beating up a karaoke singer for trying to sing it going a bit over the line there lol.

I spoke with the owner of the bar. Unfortunately for the girl she also assaulted on off duty police officer. So she landed in jail for a night. Where most critics should be.

And she says that she only had one drink?....was it like out out of a fifty-five gallon drum or what?....

"those being exposure to Coldplay's music"??? Can we edit before we post it next time? I have to say thank you for the grammatical error though. It made you look even more like the idiot you are for posting garbage like this. Do NOT throw the mantle of "pacifist" over yourself if you support something this woman.

Coldplay sucks. The girl should get a Presidential pardon.

Thats not a grammatical error at all, maybe you should read the whole thing instead of the first part.
"...when confronted with two such situations at once -- those being exposure to Coldplay's music and having to endure third-rate karaoke singing."
'those being' refers to the two situations which are listed afterwards. In other words, there is no grammatical error. Though I have to agree about the whole 'pacifist idea'
Oh, and don't think I'm some kind of English professor or something, because I'm not. I just wanted to point something out.

Who writes this crap?
Robat 8-14-2007
Hey, "H," if you were to actually go back and read the entire context, you'd see that the grammar was flawless. Learn how to read, then open some wine and loosen the Hell up! It's a F***ing JOKE!

Hell has a house band and it's name is... Coldplay

I wrote an article about bad karaoke a couple of years ago. Here it is -- it should remind you of just about anytime you've done karaoke...

I just want to hear the song. He usually sounds like a cat that just had his tail pulled. Sorry, just my opinion. And yes, I know about opinions.

Just listened to Coldplay's "Yellow". Pretty catchy tune. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. Probably inebriated as well, since someone above said she assaulted to cop too.
